Differed or planned gifts have always been a way for Park's donor's to support the synagogue. The following vehicles have all been utilized to our benefit:
Charitable Gift Annuity
A panel of volunteer experts will assist a donor who wishes to make a gift to the synagogue at no charge. Our interest rates are competitive and these gifts can be acknowledged at the time they are made. There are also significant tax advantages to many planned giving vehicles.
PLANNED GIVING DEFINITIONS AND VEHICLES TO CONSIDER
PLANNED GIVING DEFINED
Any charitable gift that requires planning on behalf of the donor; can be outright or deferred using cash or assets such as securities, real estate and other personal, tangible property.
Consists of two primary components: planning and giving. Planned gifts fall primarily into three categories: (1) outright gifts, whereby the nonprofit often has use of the asset immediately, such as securities, tangible property, and some real estate gifts; (2) bequests, whereby the donor uses the asset during his lifetime and the Synagogue receives the asset at the donor's death; and (3) life income gifts, whereby a donor makes a gift today and receives a stream of income for life, and upon the donor's death the nonprofit has use of the remainder value of the gift.
